ASCOT-LLA is another trial purporting to show that statins are the cure for atherosclerosis.
Again, in order to show the slightest effect the investigators went to, you guessed it, Northern Europe, not Norhern Ethiopia. Note, in particular that all patients had major lifestyle problems before the trial. Diet was never even tried before starting drug treatment.
