The American Heart Association chooses the "Expert Panel"

From where does the AHA get many miilions of dollars? Many of the companies that make statins.

The entrance hall to the convention. Crestor is a statin made by AstraZeneca. Which banner is bigger? See the list of generous companies that support the convention. Before you do, guess what do they make.

Attendees who wanted to use the WiFi center had to stare at durg ads. Why didn't they put it in a quite secluded room?

The AHA booth itself was strategically located among the drug exhibits.

This advertising at the AHA convention presumably accounts for most of the $230 million in "contributed services" revenue in the 2005 Annual Report of the AHA. It never says exactly what constitutes "contributed services" but we can make a good guess. These "services" dwarf donations from the public ($91 million). So if you were running the AHA, collecting salary and benefits of $750,000, who would you care about the most? The public or those contributing "services"?
